Had a lot of fun. I got this for a demonstration on how to create communications anywhere. I was with a bunch of COML and COMT trainees (Google it)
and I had them try to build a usable phone line with a traditional phone using a satellite or cell phone. Now I only ask students to do something I can do. This little Bluetooth gateway is a fun way to make it happen. I had a lot of fun. One final thought. It’s more a toy then a practical phone. The person receiving a call from this system will hear an echo of their voice because of a small delay.

I bought this device to set up a permeant home phone system via a cell phone. I bought a old cell phone (Samsung Epic) off Ebay for $20, added a new line to my cell plan, ported my old landline number, and back feed it threw my existing house phone wires (wires totally disconnected from the Landline phone company). Now I have my main phone that has 2 cordless handsets, my office phone, basement phone and garage phone all feed by the one cell phone and Cell2Jack. I turned the ringers off on all phones except the Main and cordless phones, as you can hear them ring and announce the caller ID threw out the house.
I program the old Ebay phone with my contacts so names show up and are announced (landline has to have this feature). Then I stored the phone and Cell2Jack away, out of sight out of mind...
The part I was most impressed about is the Customer Service. I had a couple issues I had questions about, listed below, so I emailed [email protected] at 6:30am and they reply back in 15 minutes with the answers. I sent them a thankyou email back to them couple days later at 2:30am on a Sunday morning and they replied back to it in minutes (no it was not a auto reply).
My 2 issues were:
1. The incoming sound was great, but the outgoing sound was "tinny" or "distanced" and "Hoarse". They said to make a phone call and after you have made connection turn the Bluetooth volume down to 25%, you only need to do this one time and it will be good for future calls. It now sound normal of both ends of the phone call.
2. I would enter in a phone number to call but then it would take 10 to 15 seconds before it would dial the number. Their answer was, you need to dial the complete number with area code included and then the call is dialed immediately, if you dial a number using 7 digits (123-4567) then it will wait 10 seconds before dialing as it is thinking you are not done entering numbers yet.

Awesome device, I purchased this device as we made the mistake of porting my grandmothers landline to a cell phone so she wouldn’t have to pay $50 bucks a month for terrible service. People had tried calling her at times and apparently couldn’t get through, well with all the crap she hears about how cell phones emit radiation she seemed to not want to use the darn thing, this device saved the day. Now she will receive all her calls and doesn’t have to really get too close to the cellphone to send and receive calls, best part about it is it produces a dial tone just like a landline...

Love this thing! When my cable company more than tripled the rate for my VoIP line, I decided to port it over to my cell phone, since everybody had my home # and only a select few had my fairly new cell #. This was a simple setup as long as you watch the video - I found the guide they sent with the unit to be unclear. Once connected, it works great! I have a Uniden set of 3 cordless handsets and connected the Cell2Jack to the Uniden main base station. Now I can answer calls to my cell phone on any of the Uniden handsets located throughout my home. There's a momentary delay between the call coming into my cell phone before ringing the Uniden handsets - and I also found that I have to give it a couple of seconds after I pick up the handset before my caller can hear me. I've also noticed that while checking my cellular carrier's voicemail messages from one of my Uniden handsets, the carrier's system did not recognize any keypad entries. I found a work-around: I could use my cellphone's keypad to hit "1" to listen to a message, for example, in order for the keypad's tones to be recognized. In one of the other review's I read here, the customer indicated that he was unable to use his home phone with Cell2Jack on conference calls - I'm wondering if it's the same issue, because dialing into a conference bridge requires entering a conference code, etc. - he might want to try using they keypad on his cell phone while using his home handset on the conference call. Despite these minor quirks, it is super convenient to be able to pick up the phone in my kitchen to answer a call, rather than either running to wherever I left my cell phone, or worse, having to carry it on my person even in my own home!

This was purchased for my mom who had 3-letter provider which starts with A and ends with T, absolute crap service. It was VOIP which is usually not a problem but they have an issue with infrastructure in our area so it was always need to constantly reboot the modem. Lot of times she'd get disconnected in the middle of a call, I bet it happened over 100 times in 5 years.
Only issue with Cell2Jack was pairing it up to the home phone. The instructions say "Enter "#*#" from your home phone keypad to start Bluetooth pairing between cellphone and CELL2JACK", the only thing is that the asterisk is hard to read between the two # signs on the instructions. So it's pound-asterisk-pound. Saw it on the video and it paired straight away.
It's working very well. If any issues later on I'll edit my review but as of now, after a week of use, this thing is good!

Since I love to put things together, I found a phone booth and bought a new Protel 7010 that was programmed for home use. But the only problem was that I do not have an active landline. I bought another product on here, the X-Link Bluetooth Gateway and that failed to connect, couldn't get a dial tone after connecting to my phone via bluetooth. So returned the product and took a chance on this product especially on Prime Day.
I hooked it up and wasn't able to get it to connect. After getting in touch with their customer support, they said since my Protel 7010 is a pay phone it might be blocking the bluetooth pairing. So I had to set the pairing up on another home phone hand set I had. Once it was set up, on the extra handset I immediately switched it over to the Protel Payphone and it WORKED! The call was clear and the bluetooth picked up my iPhone 6s every time. I will continue to update but for now this was the best and cheapest option, hope to save ya'll $80!
TL;DR - Pair it up on another home phone handset and then plug it up to your payphone

Now my landline is paired with my cellphone. Problem solved! Tip: I used a male to female t adaptor inserted into the home phone base, connected Cell2Jack in one port and put a phone line extension in the other port and connected that to a hardwire port of the house and now all the phones in the entire house are connected. An excellent product. I am very satisfied. Installation instructions easy to follow, with one exception. Instructions indicate how to connect ONE former landline phone to bluetooth signal from cell phone. To connect ALL former landline phones in home, all landline phones must remain plugged into home's wall wiring AND the cell2jack also plugged into the wall wiring. Latter can be done by plugging cell2jack into an open wall telephone outlet or by using a telephone line splitter so that the cell2jack shares an outlet with a former landline phone.

Had one problem with outside callers hearing a severe echo when they spoke (we didn't hear it at all on our end). An email query to cell2jack customer support was responded to within a day and their solution solved the problem. I was a little skeptical about this device at first, but after factoring the price and the ease of returning things back to amazon I decided to chance it. Am I glad i did! Easy to set up, and easy to use. When I did away with my landline, the only disadvantage I found was having to have the phone right nearby to answer in time and I still like the feel of the regular phone. Now I can use my old cordless phones just as before with perfectly acceptable audio quality.
Some surprising facts: I read that the cell jack might not have enough power to generate rings on all phones. I have three and they all ring just as they did before. I also read that the cell phone would need to be right by the cell jack in order for it to work. Not so....my cell phone can be across the room or even in another room and it still works. I was concerned that since this is another bluetooth device, that it might interfere with my other bluetooth devices. Not so. I can use the blue tooth receiver for my stereo and the cell jack at the same time. They happily share the phone. One disadvantage: There is a delay from when the cell phone rings before the other ringers start. My cellular carrier is set to go to voicemail after 4 rings. This means that my landline only rings 3 times before it goes to voicemail. Most of the time I can hear the cell phone ring prior so it's not that big of a deal.

I had purchased my first cell2jack unit about a year ago, when I first began to consider the feasibility of switching our landline to a cellphone. We really like our landline phones, and wanted to be able to connect them to the cellphone. Finally, a couple of weeks ago, we went ahead and added a line to our cellphone account, moving our landline number to the new phone. Following the cell2jack installation instructions, I disconnected our house phone wiring from the landline service, and plugged in the cell2jack unit after pairing and setup. It worked great with one phone, but didn't work when I added a second phone. I contacted support, and after trying a few things, determined that I needed a new version unit (ver 4). Fortunately, I had one on order to use as a backup. The newer version allows for use of a PC based utility to upgrade firmware, and to change setup parameters. After receiving the new unit, I followed the setup instructions given by cell2jack support to better allow it to work with my older landline phones. It now works very well with 3 phones attached.
We are very happy with not only the product itself, but also with the expert support that we received from cell2jack

Only wish it was easier to bluetooth pair with multiple cell phones and offered a priority-pairing list (it tends to stay connected to one cell-phone until you disconnect the bluetooth on that phone).

I used this on a Rotary phone. Using it out of the box my rotary phone could only receive calls, had low ringer volume (actual bells) and it was hard for people to understand my voice. After downloading and updating the firmware (windows 10 computer with phone plugged in and on hook) I was able to change ringer voltage and power to the mic. I can now make and recieve phone calls with much better clarity and loader bell ringing. It's still an old phone so audio isn't great but it is worth the money and fun addition to my shop. I emailed tech support and they replied within an hour. I had already figured out that I needed Win 10 and not Win 7 prior to their response but was pleasantly surprised by the speed of their response.

Amazing product! Does exactly what I was looking for!
I'm 68 and just got my first cell phone because my 5 yr. old internet phone got so choppy and bad sounding that my friends had trouble understanding me.
So I got my cellphone but because of some special insulation in my home that had a lot of tinfoil like stuff, my reception was 1 bar or less.... horrible. yet outside I had 4 and 5 bars.
So I found one spot in my home by a window that had 4 bars. Problem was.... it was nowhere near where I needed to use my cellphone. What to do....
Bought a antenna booster.... didn't work. Bought a cell home base where the base had an antenna and you plugged a regular phone into, thinking I could put it by that window or out in the garage or even on my porch. Didn't work!
Didn't know what I would do..... until..... I ran across this product..... CELL2JACK!!! WOW!!
Received C2J very quickly and emailed with the seller a few times and got very fast responses.
Plugged the C2J into a power outlet, then plugged my wireless phone into C2J and set my cellphone next to the C2J.
Went through the pairing procedure to connect via Bluetooth and BOOM! It worked!
I had a dial tone and made a call.... worked fine and audio was real good.
Had someone call me and the wireless phone rang and worked great!
I even used Google Now to tell the wireless phone who to call and it worked perfectly.
C2J is an amazing tool and works perfectly, has a great price, and quick tech responce as well as quick shipping. C2J turned my cell phone into a home phone. Exactly what I wanted. And the bonus is it's so easy to grab the cell and take it when I leave the house. Incredible! A++++

5.0 out of 5 stars So I recently installed a few ihome smart plugs to turn on/off my lights through my iPhone

So I recently installed a few ihome smart plugs to turn on/off my lights through my iPhone. However I tend to leave my cell phone upstairs in the bedroom, and it kind of defeated the purpose of smart switches. At first I was going to go the Alexa or Google Home route, but I didn’t want to buy 2-3 of these device to get coverage in my house, and it’s kind of expensive. I googled around for a solution and found the Cell 2 Jack device.
So yah, as dated as this makes me sound, I randomly inherited a few Panasonic handsets from back in the landline days. Apparently the Cell 2 Jack works by docking my iPhone with it, and then basically I can use any of my old handsets around the house as my iPhone. So if someone calls me, all the handsets ring. If I hold down the star key, it patches me through to Siri, so I can control my smart plugs. So yah, it’s not as sleek as calling out to a voice assistant, but I can still get the same features by picking up the nearest phone. This solution works well enough for me, and on a great budget. It also doesn’t hurt that I don’t miss calls anymore since all my handsets ring.

This is perfect for incoming calls.
My mother-in-law has a cell phone from California Life Line. I requested for an easier phone to use, but they do not have a flip phone any more. So I installed the cell2jack. Set up is easy and they even have a video on how to do it. What it does is that you can use your regular landline phone but it uses the minutes of your cellphone. So you do not need an expensive analog line.
Incoming call is so easy. It rings and you can use it normally.
Outgoing - well, you may need to adjust. When you need to make a call from your phone that is connected to cell2jack, you actually had to wait for 2 dialtones. So when you pick up a phone, you'll hear a dialtone, then wait for 5 seconds, then you'll hear a 2nd dialtone. When you hear the 2nd dialtone, then you can start dialing.

I just setup my cell to Jack and love it. I transferred my old land line number to a cellphone and connected it to my house phones (Vtech). I call out on it just as with a landline,I receive calls just like with my landline and the answering machine on the house phone answers just like before. The only difference I've noticed is it takes longer for the phone to ring on incoming and outgoing calls. You can leave your cellphone next to the cell to Jack ( there's even a charging port on the cell to jack) and not have to worry about laying your cellphone down and missing a call. It was super simple to set up!

We recently had our 92-year-old mother-in-law move in with us. At her assisted living she had both a landline and her cell phone (an iPhone 6 for texts and FaceTime). She really likes the corded phone with big "one touch calling" buttons we got her -- esp. because its receiver is LOUD and she has significant hearing loss. But we don't have a landline in our house and it seemed silly to pay for one when we're already paying for her cell phone.
Enter CELL2JACK! Plug CELL2JACK in to the wall. Plug your landline phone into CELL2JACK. Pair CELL2JACK with your smartphone and voila! Use the landline to make and receive calls via the cell phone. Pure genius!
The setup is straight-forward and about as simple as it could be, but it does require a little juggling of wires and Bluetooth pairing.
And now for the price of one month of a landline, we have a "lifetime" landline for "free" (with her cell phone).

Looked all over for a way to "hook-up" my cell phone to a small multi-line phone in the home office. Originally thought I wanted something that I could take from the headphone jack to an rj-11 (there aren't any), but the logic of the blue tooth interface becomes apparent when you grab your phone and go, and then come back later with it in your pocket, and you are seamlessly hooked back up without thinking about it. I can now work at my desk and use my desk phone (with wireless headset & lifter) and get my business, home and cell lines all on my 4 line phone. Only draw back is that the Caller ID only sends the phone #, but not the name through to the desk phone - but for $29 who can really complain. Also, when I emailed a question (about the #ID) to customer service on a Sunday afternoon they were back to me in 10 minutes. Could not have been easier to setup and audio quality is great. Thinking of getting a second one and transferring my copper line to an old cell phone sitting in the drawer and saving $50 a month.

This little Bluetooth gateway is a fun way to make it happen. I had a lot of fun. One final thought. It’s more a toy then a practical phone.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Reliable Option For Payphones For Home Use!!
Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2019

We cut the cord on our landline. The problem: If family couldn't reach me they would call the landline because many times my cellphone is on one floor and I am on another floor and would miss the call. Great product highly recommend! PS customer service is top notch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Connecting cell;2jack to ALL phones in home
Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2019

An excellent product. I am very satisfied. Installation instructions easy to follow, with one exception. Instructions indicate how to connect ONE former landline phone to bluetooth signal from cell phone. To connect ALL former landline phones in home, all landline phones must remain plugged into home's wall wiring AND the cell2jack also plugged into the wall wiring. Latter can be done by plugging cell2jack into an open wall telephone outlet or by using a telephone line splitter so that the cell2jack shares an outlet with a former landline phone.

The setup is very easy and well explained in the directions. I disconnected our hardwired phone line coming into the house and so now all of our home land line phones can be used through the cell2jack, including our answering machine. Had one problem with outside callers hearing a severe echo when they spoke (we didn't hear it at all on our end). An email query to cell2jack customer support was responded to within a day and their solution solved the problem. Considering the bang for the buck I would give this product more than 5 stars if I could.

The price is very reasonable, and it give me at my age so much pleasure, not to use my cell for all this, and just have one number for a change, I know most of my friends will run out and buy one after I demonstrate mine to them. I read on the instructions that if I dial an asterick on my home phone it will answer my voice for weather, etc,, just like Siri, or Alexa. I thought NO WAY! Yes! It did give me the weather info I waned. Thrilled with my purchase! Ann Marie

Like many people we don't pay for a landline, but have cell phones. This device works great for the purpose and we connected an old touch-tone phone that our toddler could use. Love this device.

Incredible! A++++

I had a spare cell phone so I had my land line number ported over to my cell provider. I am now using the cell phone with with my in home phone system. There was some adjustment to the volume levels to make the sound correct (found articles on the web on how to optimize the quality of the sound.) Have had any problems with the Cell Jack unit. Do read the instruction on setting it up. Step 1 and step 2 are reversed in the printed instruction. Go to the Cell Jack web site for the correct order. Also check out the web site FAQ section. I like it, and I cut my phone bill by 2/3's.

I have been using this for a few weeks and all is working well. I had a minor feedback problem that required lowering the volume on my cell phone,, now all is good. I make and take calls from my cell phone on my home cordless phone system from 3 different locations throughout my home and it works great.
UPDATE: Unit quit working August 2019 but was not the unit's fault. I got an update on my ZTE cell phone that caused bluetooth to not work. I just got another update that has my Cell2Jack working again. So if your Cell2Jack WAS working then stopped, more than likely it was your cell phone's Android update.

This device really works as advertised. It allows me to use a cell phone as my home phone system. This is going to really reduce my home phone cost by quit a bit. The support provided by this company is outstanding. I experienced a problem that their support team tried to help me to resolve the issue. When I could not resolve the issue they replaced my unit at no cost. When I got the replacement unit I discovered that the problem was one that I had caused. The replacement unit is working fine thanks to the excellent support that I received. I recommend this product from this seller 110%.

So I had some old wireless landline phones lying around and I was told about the Cell2Jack and I said to myself, Why Not give it a try. I am so glade I did. This thing works great. Easy hook up (In Minutes) and great range from Cell2jack to my Cell Phone. Now I just leave my cell in my bedroom when I get home and don't have to go running to it when I get a call. I hooked it up to my wireless landline phone that has another phone linked to it. So now I have 3 phones all together. It's great. I could not be happier with my purchase.

I am an oldschool kind of guy so I connected Cell2Jack internally to my rotary phone. Voice and sound are crystal-clear. Of course the ring and rotary dial wont function because they require higher voltages but the tip-answer does, so I dial with the cell and hold my conversations on the old phone...eccentric, sure. But nostalgia fun.

This really works, does what it supposed to do, had to turn off caller ID after having it turned on since it takes longer with it turned on to connect to incoming call. No biggie since the cell phone has caller ID anyway.
Call quality fine, sometimes as a landline sometimes not quite.
Overall great solution to do away with the landline but still use the home handsets.
Super fast and great response from seller via email.

Purchased this device to replace my landline with Google Fi service.
I can run my Google Fi mobile device through my home PBX seamlessly. I now save $30 per month by dropping the land based carrier in favor of Google Fi.
Additionally, the Cell2Jack support group was outstanding in helping me resolve an issue connecting through to the Google Fi voicemail service through the PBX I use at home. With some perseverance, they worked with me and made modifications to their connection utility to get the voicemail connection to work.
These guys know their business and their product. I plan to purchase a second device to replace another landline.

Got my elderly uncle a cell phone when he went to the nursing home as it was recommended. He could not learn to use it, so I bought Cell2Jack and plugged in his home phone handset and base station to Cell2Jack and the cell phone. He is comfortable using his own familiar phone and is answering more calls.

This is perfect for older relatives who are in care facilities where they cannot have their own landline. This way you can provide them with a cellphone.

Even walking around the room, the Bluetooth stayed paired with the cell phone. Directions provided are very professional and detailed, so if you follow them, you will have not trouble and be very pleased. We ditched our landline but had 3 fairly new landline phones that were now useless. My husband, who rarely used his cellphone, is used to having a phone on all floors and this little gizmo fit the bill! The only downside is you have to speak hello twice before it goes through. Not a deal breaker by a long shot! Highly recommend!

This was a great product for my Mother who has a hard time with dementia and anything with too many buttons. She had a Senior version of a flip phone (Jitterbug) which I was pleased to find had bluetooth. Hooked it up in five minutes and viola! The phone I used was an old school, big button one that I got at a Thrift store for $2. This remedies her fear of "getting it wrong" and gives her a familiar object to use.
